The aim of this project, has been a small scale and low-budget renovation and furnishing of a 70m2 apartment in Berlin, Wedding, in order to be available for renting to students or professional nomads.
The apartment, in its previous condition, suffered from spatial ambiguity, limited storage, and a lack of natural light. The redesign restructured the layout into a cohesive, bright, and efficient living environment that responds to multiple lifestyles.
Key interventions included the reconfiguration of the kitchen into an open-plan living and dining area, the introduction of light color tones to enhance spatial clarity, and the integration of versatile storage solutions. All furniture was chosen or designed to be lightweight, durable, and user-friendly, accommodating temporary or long-term stays with equal ease.
The result is a calm and coherent microcosm of contemporary urban living. The resident gains a space that supports both productivity and relaxation — a home that encourages focus and comfort. The improved spatial flow, better lighting conditions, and minimal material palette upgrade the living experience on every level, offering a thoughtful response to the evolving needs of today’s urban dwellers.
