VUC Roskilde Schoolyard: A Participatory Redesign

The project is about a participatory redesign of VUC Roskilde’s schoolyard, aiming to strengthen its connection with the city and transform it into an active public ground for learning, movement, and social exchange. The proposal enhances the site’s natural qualities through planting, shade, water, and tactile material surfaces, while introducing new walking routes, gathering points, and outdoor teaching areas. The schoolyard is reimagined as an open, welcoming, and everyday environment where educational life meets the urban fabric.
